The Good Shepherd Sisters joyfully commemorated 25 years of their mission in Yangon Ywa with a Jubilee Celebration on November 8, 2025. The grand event was a testament to a quarter-century of dedicated services to the villages.

The Jubilee Mass celebration was presided over by Bishop John of Keng Tong Diocese. He was joined by fifteen concelebrating priests. The occasion drew a large gathering of religious sisters from various congregations, catechists, and many faithful. In his homily, Bishop John extended his heartfelt congratulations to the congregation. Adding to the tributes, the head catechist, Saya Ahlo, addressed the congregation. On behalf of all the catechists and parishioners, he expressed profound gratitude and gave a heartfelt testimony to the positive influence of the Good Shepherd Mission’s work.

The Good Shepherd Sisters, along with their mission partners and staff, wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the parish priests, catechists, and all parishioners. Their generous hand-in-hand collaboration has been instrumental to the mission’s success, especially evident during this milestone Thanksgiving celebration.

Over the past quarter-century, the mission has been blessed to serve the Keng Tong Diocese through a wide range of ministries, including:

1. Education
2. Residential Care
